Walid Gab Alla
Business Development & Managing Director
Walid developed a passion for fresh produce from childhood, when he grew up on a farm that cultivated vegetables and salad.
He trained as an accountant and has extensive business experience, including as a sales director.
But he never forgot his first love and switched direction, working his way up from commis chef to head chef.
The creation of Chef’s Choice was a dream come true for someone who has worked at every level of the process of delivering outstanding fresh produce.
Head of Buying and Quality Control
Nader has been working with fresh produce for nearly 20 years. He has a passion for sourcing the very finest seasonal fruit and vegetables.
As a buyer and quality controller, he oversees every step of the operation. He is involved in sourcing and buying, quality control and the application of a FIFO stock rotation system.
That ensures all our clients receive the very freshest seasonal produce.
Nader’s lifelong dream of setting up his own business came true when he was part of the team that set up, and now runs, Chef’s Choice.
Ahmed El Shorbagy
Ahmed has almost two decades of experience in fruit and vegetables.
He has worked at every level in the industry and supplied the best restaurants, hotels and cafes in London.
He always had an ambition to run his own company and work independently to provide a top-quality service.
That goal has now been achieved and Ahmed relishes the task of providing excellent produce to clients of all sizes.
Ahmed brings more than 15 years of extensive experience in the food and beverage industry to the Chef’s Choice team.
He has worked as a head chef and kitchen manager, and is well versed in all aspects of the supply of some of the finest establishments in the UK and overseas.
Outstanding customer experience is a key focus of Ahmed’s work. His expertise includes design and planning, supply chain, operations, budgeting and food and beverage development.
Ahmed is a superb organiser and a real team player and motivator. He lives by an old Irish proverb that he heard on his first day as a head chef: “Laughter is brightest where food is best.”
